Jesus Christ is the Promised Messiah who came to save people from their sins (Matthew 1:21).
Throughout His life, He fulfilled every prophecy about Him concerning His time of birth, His place of birth, His parents, events surrounding His birth and the signs and wonders He would do, and, the way He would die. His life stood out from those of His time in that He was a peace-loving and God-fearing individual, who always advocated for righteousness and justice. He always did good things for those around Him to prove that people could live without strife and violence.
Jesus confirmed that He was the Messiah and history agrees that He was an extraordinary man. His name, Christ, means the Sent One to further confirm His purpose and mission. Jesus showed a great knowledge of the Old Testament even though He did not attend school. The religious elite of His time were confounded by His wisdom and knowledge of the scriptures. This further consolidated the fact that He was indeed the Son of God.
Many Historians agree that He existed and confirm the signs and wonders He performed. Some of these were opening the eyes of the blind, causing the lame to walk, raising the dead, casting out evil spirits, turning water into wine, healing the sick, and walking on water. He also rose from the dead after He had been brutally crucified and killed. All this was in fulfilment of the scriptures to mark Him out as the Saviour whose teachings must be trusted and followed.
Christianity is about living as He lived, believing what He said and waiting for His return with rewards for those who obey His instructions and admonitions.
