Violence Against Women

Violence Against Women

Research shows that one in four women suffer domestic abuse or undergo violence in their life-time (women’s aid). In the bible, according to Luke’s gospel, Jesus supported and looked toward the welfare of women and the marginalised in society.

Due to our large group and diverse members in GHIC, as a christian organisation/charity, it is vital to create awareness, mentorship and education on the importance of this topic in our society and our community at large. The programs serve to engage and transform the individual Christian through heightening their awareness on pertinent issues that determine a just society which includes respect for women, a peaceful home environment to raise children and a violent free community as a whole.

This program, led by experience experts in domestic abuse cases, is open to all in the Bristol area and beyond who feel threatened or scared to voice their concerns about violence and abuse.
