Prison Ministry

GHIC is actively involved in the rehabiliation and integration of ex-offenders back into the society. We run ‘TheHub’ in the church building where we share a meal and interact with any interested member of the community. We are involved in weekly educational courses and mentoring in the prisons. We also work closely with MentorMe, UK.

Kindly contact the church office for more information.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

As an organisation we offer pastoral care, emotional and spiritual support, to anyone experiencing pain, loss, anxiety, triumphs, joys and victories. Pastorial care in GHIC aims to meet needs and challenges ranging from social/domestic matters, marital issues, relational discords, educational problems e.t.c.

This service makes a huge effort to create a nurturing and supportive setting to individuals and groups in prisons, educational establishments and schools, hospitals and care homes e.t.c. This is in addition to providing/officiating baby dedication/christening, water baptisms, pre-marital counselling, wedding and funeral ceremonies.

Student Support

There are a number of students members of GHIC that attend educational institutions in Bristol such as University of Bristol, UWE, Bristol City College etc.

Our aim as an organisation is to give adequate support while they are in education especially those who have come from outside the Bristol area. This is achieved through a robust mentoring program, career guidance, summer schools, youth retreat, adopt a student scheme (where an older parent adopts a student to give them a home away from home experience) etc.

Life Skills

Life Skills

As a church, we not only want to equip people to live a spiritually significant life, but we also aim to equip them with practical life skills to help them in daily living.

Some of these skills include learning how to cook and bake, music theory and instrument tutoring, video editing and sound production, drafting personal profiles for University applications, CV writing and preparing for interviews e.t.c. Most of these lessons are free of charge. For more information contact or register here.

Mums and Toddlers

Mums and Toddlers

Sometimes Mums can get bored, limited, stressed, postnatally depressed and emotionally drained just staying at home after a delivery or simply just going through the routine of child care. They may lack an outlet or a support network to share experiences, learn parenting skills (especially for new mothers) and receive child care support.

In the book of Titus older women are encouraged to teach younger women how to raise new born babies and take care of their house hold.

This forum creates an environment where mothers of like minds can meet and interact and share experiences in a safe and natural environment. View our short video here.
